Travelling…. A lot of people dream of travelling to far away countries, experiencing different cultures, foods and seeing beautiful nature. I would love to travel to the British Islands, i.e. the (Outer) Hebrides, The Orkney Islands, Japan or Africa! Personally, I love the natural colours of The Northern Islands, Africa, Japan and the bright colours of countries such as India and Marocco.

Looking at lots of different pictures of these countries inspired me for this sock month: Colours of the World. For everyone who is in love with these colour combinations just like me, you can knit these lovely colours in a beautiful pair of socks or sweater, shawl, or whatever knitting plans you might have while looking at the mood boards!

There are nine different mood boards to choose from.

What’s in the Colours of the World Sock Month kit?

• 4 x 100grs skein (or 5…)
• Sock knitting pattern
• Goodies

There are different yarn options:

• Wolbeest merino sock (75% sw merino – 25% nylon); 100gr./425m. 
• Wolbeest BFL sock (75% sw BFL – 25% nylon); 100gr./425m. 
• Wolbeest basic sock (75% sw virgin wool – 25% nylon); 100gr./420m. 
• Wolbeest HT merino sock (80% sw merino – 20% nylon); 100gr./365m.

How do I order this kit?

First, you choose your favourite yarn base and then the amount of skeins you would like. After that you select 4 or 5 colourways and drop them in your shopping basket. Then you  check out. You may also choose 4 or 5 skeins of one colourway!

When will this kit be shipped?

This yarn kit will be shipped between the 2nd and 9^th of June 2025.

What colours can I expect?

Colourful skeins of sock yarn inspired by the different photographs. Just go for the surprise! The set of mini skeins may be variegated, speckled, semi-solid skeins or tonals and ton sur ton.

Until when can I subscribe?

Until the 18^th of May 2025. There's an early bird discount of 5% if you order before the 23rd of March. Use the code ‘WORLDSOCK’ while checking out.

If you order other items together with this yarn kit, then please note that these will ship together. Should you want to receive these items earlier, then order these items separately please. This is a pre-order and will not ship until the above mentioned date! As soon as the parcel is shipped you will received an e-mail with a t&t.

The pictures are of course an indication, the real magic often happens while dyeing. I use these colour schemes for inspiration and this is very subjective and also a matter of taste. My interpretation might be completely different from your ideas or opinions. Buying a 'mystery' kit is always a risk.
